Renegade Motorsports S2000 Coolant Reservoir Install Guide

NOTE: Due to the nature of crafting this product from aluminum, reservoirs may have weld etching and/or tooling marks. Reservoir should be filled 30-40% depending on oversized or OEM radiator, respectively. Product is for the reservoir tank only. Customer to reuse OEM hose.

What are the machined holes on top of the reservoir?

These coolant reservoirs are often referred to as "overflow tanks," but it is probably more appropriate to call them "expansion tanks." In order for the reservoirs to function properly, they need to be vented to create vacuum. We laser cut the venting hole on top, which allows for the hot coolant to expand into the reservoir; it then cools, and returns to the radiator.  This helps keep your cooling system free of air, allowing it to operate at maximum efficiency as intended by the OEM design.
